The day before this shot was taken it was Christmas day 2020 and it hadn’t snowed yet. My wife and I were walking along the Spokane River in our home of Coeur d’Alene, ID, when I mentioned that if it snowed that night, I wanted to come back and shoot something. I knew there was something there, but when I got home and took a closer look at what I had taken, it was clear that I had captured something special.
